Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care on a 12-hour night shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM in Chula Vista, CA. Placement within the pay range is determined by RN experience under the union contract.

Required qualifications include graduation from nursing school, California RN license, BLS, and NRP; on-call duties and every-other weekend work are expected.

• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (BLS) REQUIRED.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families.
• Delegate/assign care and communicate expectations for care delivery to the team.
• Ensure appropriate supervision levels and verify physician orders.
• Document per department guidelines and policies.
• Establish therapeutic relationships and advocate for patients.
• Coordinate transfer and discharge planning in collaboration with the care team.
• Collaborate with team to develop and revise patient education materials.
• Respond to patient needs with critical thinking and timely actions.

Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $61.740 - $70.170 - $90.160

The stated pay scale reflects the range as defined by the collective bargaining agreement between Sharp HealthCare and Sharp Professional Nurses Network, United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals, NUHHCE, AFSME, AFL-CIO. Placement within the range is based on years of RN experience.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing school
• 2 Years Clinical experience
• California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Various-Employee provides certificate -REQUIRED
