Job summary

A healthcare provider in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to deliver hands-on care, manage admissions and discharges, and mentor nursing staff in a skilled nursing facility. Qualifications

• Must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Prior experience working with elderly individuals or in geriatric care is highly valued.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds independently.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, perform treatments, monitor vital signs.
• Evaluate residents and report changes in condition.
• Observe residents for adverse reactions and update care plans.
• Work with teams to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Oversee nursing assistants, providing guidance.
• Complete records accurately reflecting care provided.
• Perform admission and discharge procedures as directed.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Follow protocols to maintain a safe environment.
• Adhere to infection control procedures.
• Maintain certifications and stay current with best practices.
