Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a per diem role in the Boston area. The nurse will provide direct patient care, perform nursing assessments, and develop care plans while coordinating with the care team.

The position requires 1–3 years of related experience, RN license, and BLS certification. Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 3 eight-hour shifts per month and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• License Registered Nurse required; American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes nursing judgments.
• Assesses health care needs and develops, implements, and evaluates a care plan.
• Coordinates care and directs assistive personnel to ensure safe, efficient patient-centered care.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and staff; acts as patient advocate.
• Maintains mandatory education and participates in professional development.
