Job summary

Select Medical in Gulfport, MS is hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem / PRN night shifts. Compensation is $41.00 per hour and there is potential for full-time opportunities.

You will evaluate patients, deliver respiratory care, manage airway procedures, promote quality improvement, and educate patients and families. Required NBRC credential (CRT or RRT), BLS, current state licensure, and ACLS on hire; one year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC credential (CRT or RRT) or state equivalent.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire.
• Preferred: 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
