Respiratory and Rehab of RI is seeking a per diem Respiratory Therapist to join our Coventry team. You’ll provide expert respiratory care for residents with complex needs and help them breathe easier while supporting their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Active Rhode Island respiratory care license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ventilator and tracheostomy care experience preferred.
• Experience in long-term care, subacute or long-term acute care a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ respiratory status and implement plans as ordered.
• Care for residents on ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP and supplemental O2.
• Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning and airway management.
• Administer nebulizer treatments and other respiratory therapies.
• Monitor vital signs, SpO2 and treatment response.
• Assist with ventilator weaning and rehab goals.
• Maintain respiratory equipment per infection control standards.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and support the nursing team.
• Educate residents, families and staff on respiratory care and equipment.
• Document assessments and treatments accurately and timely.
