Job summary

VTP is seeking a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant in Riverside, CA to work with hospital and community sites, resolving venous access issues and supporting physician treatment goals.

This per diem role requires an RN with vascular access skills, ultrasound-guided IV placement, and reliable transportation. Four shifts per month are required, with some weekend/evening coverage.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current license and valid BLS certification.
• 3+ years of acute care experience with vascular access procedures.
• Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs and managing vascular access devices.
• Ability to work independently and meet travel/scheduling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs with ultrasound and ECG confirmation.
• Assist with management of PICCs and vascular access devices.
• Provide vascular access support including port access and line removal.
• Educate facility staff on PICCs, midlines and CVAD care.

VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting. Job Description

As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer's clinical team to resolve venous access issues to facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting depending on each individual referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges. This is a Per Diem position, with a minimum requirement of only 4 scheduled shifts per month.

As a VTP Vascular Access Nurse Consultant you will:

• Place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs with ultrasound and use ECG confirmation.
• Assist with management of PICCs and Vascular Access devices.
• Provide a wide range of vascular access support services including but not limited to port access, removal of lines, declotting, etc.
• Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and many other CVAD's

Scheduling

In this role, Consultants travel to various customer facilities and must be willing to meet the scheduling needs of the business. Per Diem Consultants are expected to work a minimum of four (4) scheduled shifts per month, including weekend availability and participation in the holiday rotation. Typical shifts are approximately 8 hours, with a preference for candidates available to work evening shifts ending between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current license
• American Heart BLS Certification
• Experience in vascular access device management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs
• Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification
• Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites
• Must possess a smart phone
• Must LOVE vascular access!
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute care
• Experience with other vascular access device (VAD) placements using ultrasound

Compensation Is Based On Candidate Experience And Relevant Certifications.

Hourly Pay Range: $50 USD - $70 USD
