Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Chestnut PACU team at the Chestnut Surgical Center in Springfield, MA. The role focuses on pre-op preparation and post-op recovery for a pediatric-dominated patient population, with some adult patients.

The RN will provide perioperative care in a Magnet-recognized hospital, cross-training in Motility and Endoscopy, and collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patients in the pre-operative area for surgery.
• Provide nursing care to patients during post-surgical recovery in the PACU.
• Care for a primarily pediatric patient population, with some adult patients.
• Support both inpatient and outpatient surgical patients.
• Work within the Chestnut Surgical Center outpatient operating room environment.
• Provide safe, patient-centered care throughout the perioperative experience.
• Cross-train in Motility and Endoscopy.
• Collaborate with the surgical and perioperative care team to support quality patient outcomes.

Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Chestnut PACU team at Chestnut Surgical Center at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Chestnut PACU prepares patients in the pre-op area for surgery and provides care during post-surgical recovery for the outpatient operating rooms. The patient population is primarily pediatric, with some adult, inpatient, and outpatient patients.

This Registered Nurse role offers the opportunity to provide perioperative nursing care within a Magnet-recognized hospital environment while supporting patients before and after surgery. The RN will also be cross trained in Motility and Endoscopy.

The Registered Nurse (RN) Will:

• Prepare patients in the pre-operative area for surgery.
• Provide nursing care to patients during post-surgical recovery in the PACU.
• Care for a primarily pediatric patient population, with some adult patients.
• Support both inpatient and outpatient surgical patients.
• Work within the Chestnut Surgical Center outpatient operating room environment.
• Provide safe, patient-centered care throughout the perioperative experience.
• Cross-train in Motility and Endoscopy.
• Collaborate with the surgical and perioperative care team to support quality patient outcomes.
• Shift: Varies
• Hours: 10-hour shifts
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, rotating days
• On-Call Requirement: N/A
• Other Scheduling Requirements: Schedule hours may rotate between early and later start times.

No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
