Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an RN for the Hematology Oncology Clinic on a per diem basis in Massachusetts. The Staff RN ambulatory will plan and coordinate care, make decisions about assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, and ensure safe practice within clinical domains.

Requirements include MA RN license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of related inpatient or ambulatory nursing in an acute setting. Hematology/Oncology experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and active Massachusetts RN license.
• Current BLS certification required by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Hematology/Oncology experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience in acute inpatient or ambulatory settings.

Responsibilities

• Administer and coordinate ambulatory nursing care per care plan.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for oncology patients.
• Demonstrate safe practice and professional leadership in the clinic.

The Staff Registered Nurse: Ambulatory assumes the responsibility for the plan of care and has the authority to make decisions. The Staff registered Nurse: Ambulatory is held accountable for decisions specific to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the plan. The registered nursefacilitates the coordination of care across the continuum and demonstrates safe practice within the domains of:

• Clinical judgment and decision making
• Professional relationships
• Clinical leadership
• Clinical scholarship

• BSN preferred
• Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

• Minimum 1 year of related In-Patient or Ambulatory Nursing in an acute setting.

Hematology Oncology experience strongly preferred

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and technical knowledge to provide care for patientsaccording to Nursing Policy and Procedures.
• Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and knowledge to provide care for patients according to theclinic specific competencies.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Pay Range:

Pay Range: $37.00 - $95.37

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
