Mental Health Association of Rochester seeks an RN to provide direct nursing care within the Pediatric ICU, across Neonates to Geriatrics. You will model professionalism, promote high-quality care, and ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Current RN licensure and BLS certification within 30 days.
  • Preferred certifications include PALS, TNCC, or ENPC.
  • Ability to perform heavy physical work and work in environments with biohazards, requiring PPE.
  • Strong communication, clinical, and emergency response skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, direct patient care and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning and patient/family education.
  • Assist with tests, procedures, and emergency measures, ensuring proper consent and safety protocols.
  • Administer medications, including IV, and document clinical findings accurately.
  • Participate in orientation, assume preceptor roles, and contribute to staff development.
  • Maintain comprehensive medical records and respond to inquiries per policy.
  • Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment and promote patient safety by following policies and proactively identifying risks.
  • Encourage patient participation in their care and adhere to Patient Centered Medical Home standards.
