Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Johnstown is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide medical nutrition therapy, assess nutritional needs, and collaborate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

This per diem role offers an orientation program and opportunities for advancement; compensation is $32.00 per hour. The position supports flexible scheduling within a facility dedicated to inpatient post-ICU recovery.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure/certification required.
• Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR).
• One year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nutritional care to patients and develop, implement, and monitor medical nutrition therapies.
• Collaborate with the medical staff, patients, families and food service to ensure nutrition care plans are implemented.
• Perform nutritional assessments and re-assessments, identifying goals and monitoring progress.
• Develop and monitor enteral and/or parenteral nutrition support regimens.
• Work with Speech Therapy to progress textured modified diets for safety and intake.
• Educate staff and maintain nutrition care manuals and documentation.
