Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Registered Dietitian for Regency Hospital in Toledo. This per diem/As Needed role requires providing quality medical nutrition therapy, coordinating with healthcare teams, and ensuring adherence to nutrition plans.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure/certification, if required by state.
• Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration.
• One year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nutritional care to patients with Medical Nutrition Therapies.
• Collaborate with medical staff, patients, families and food service to implement care plans.
• Perform nutritional assessments and monitor patient progress.
• Develop and monitor enteral and/or parenteral nutrition regimens.
• Assist with progression of textured modified diets and ensure patient safety.
• Ensure orders align with the facility's nutrition formulary and diet manual.
• Consider religious, cultural and ethnic factors in nutrition plans.
• Educate staff on the Nutrition Care Manual and updates.
• Stay current with nutritional practices and continuing education.
