Destiny Springs Hospital Main in Surprise, AZ is seeking a Per Diem Activity/Recreational Therapist to join the care team. You will plan and implement activity programs, define treatment goals, and support patient recovery through therapeutic activities.

The role requires a 2-year therapy degree, state licensure/certification, CPR/BLS/CPI, and experience in a psychiatric setting; you will document interventions, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and maintain safety and infection

Formación

• Degree in Occupational, Recreational, Art, Music, or Dance/Movement Therapy.
• Certification or licensure by state and/or national governing body in occupational or recreational therapy. CTRS preferred.
• CPR certification, Basic Life Support, CPI required prior to patient interaction.

Responsabilidades

• Observes and applies sound judgement of patient need.
• Observes and documents changes in appearance, behavior and progress toward care plan goals.
• Ensure timely documentation of interventions based on patient treatment plan. Apply appropriate crisis intervention techniques as required and assists patients in goal achievement.
• Complete all adjunctive therapy assessments in a timely manner.
• Maintains all safety precautions and all infection control procedures.
• Maintain therapeutic space, supplies and equipment to ensure cleanliness and safe storage.
• Provide pertinent feedback to the interdisciplinary treatment team regarding patient response to therapy, treatment interventions, and therapeutic objectives, as appropriate and necessary.
• Contribute to treatment plan with specific goals and interventions to be achieved in recreational therapeutic activities.
• Communicate with colleagues, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
