Job summary

Rochester Regional Health Imaging and Radiology seeks a Radiology Technologist to support radiographic procedures and help ensure high-quality diagnostic films while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.

The role covers radiography across assigned areas, documentation in RIS/PACS, room preparation, on-call coverage, and collaboration with radiologists and staff. Per diem schedule; NYS licensure and ARRT certification required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Two-year college certificate or equivalent.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology required or must obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• ARRT Certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for radiography of patients in all assigned areas.
• Maintains accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts.
• Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as necessary.
• Cleans, restocks, and prepares rooms on a daily basis.
• Attends hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.
• Practices and held accountable for excellent customer service behaviors.
• Provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Two-year college certificate or equivalent

NYS license in Radiologic Technology

ARRT Certification within 1 year of hire
