Qualifications

• Must have passed or is eligible for the examination of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography.
• Previous experience as a Staff Technologist preferred, but not required
• Desirable: experience in Radiology subspecialties such as MRI, CT, Ultrasound or Nuclear Medicine
• Maintains BLS certification with biannual renewal

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety & Professional Conduct: Follow safety guidelines, use proper body mechanics, report unsafe conditions, maintain professional appearance, comply with radiation safety standards including ALARA, collimation and patient shielding.
• Provide High-Quality Patient Care: Care for patients from arrival to departure, communicate respectfully, ensure patient comfort and safety, properly transfer and position patients, assist in emergencies or first aid when needed.
• Perform Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Operate radiology equipment safely, select proper technical factors, load imaging cassettes, produce high-quality radiographs, assist physicians with contrast media and sterile procedures.
• Maintain Equipment, Rooms & Records: Keep exam rooms clean and stocked, prevent cross-contamination, handle equipment responsibly, report malfunctions, complete related clerical tasks including documentation.
• Support Department Operations & Ongoing Learning: Rotate shifts/departments as needed, take on-call duty, assist leadership, participate in continuing education and professional development.
