Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital- Orlando Central in Orlando, FL is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for PRN / Per Diem assignments. Compensation is $35 per hour plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

The PTA will assist with the delivery of physical therapy services, implement treatment goals, and help patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility training in a free-standing care setting.

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license.
• BLS certification required by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions designed to meet patients' long-term goals, including strengthening, balance, and functional skills.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices.
