Imperial Healthcare Center in La Mirada, California, is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. We offer a welcoming environment with a supportive rehab team, convenient location, and on-site parking.

New graduates are welcome to apply and can gain experience while contributing to residents' mobility and safety. Provide skilled PT treatments under supervision, assist with strength and balance, and help implement individualized plans.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current California PTA license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication, clinical skills, and teamwork abilities.
• New graduates are welcome to apply!
• Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents in improving strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and other appropriate interventions.
• Monitor residents' responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation.
• Collaborate with our rehabilitation team, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate residents and families on mobility, safety, fall prevention, and therapeutic exercises.
