Job summary

University of Virginia in Charlottesville seeks a physician to provide comprehensive patient care across clinic and hospital environments, including skilled nursing facilities and ambulatory centers, within licensed scope and credentialing.

You will collaborate with the medical director, administration, office and nursing staff to coordinate care, order and interpret diagnostic studies, manage diagnoses, educate patients and families, and participate in on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited medical school with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
• Completion of Accredited Residency in chosen specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide physician services in clinic and other locations within scope of licensing and credentialing.
• Collaborate with Medical Director, administration, office manager, and nursing staff to facilitate patient management.
• Perform history and physicals, diagnose, and initiate medical processes as credentialed.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies in consultation with staff.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes and treatment plans.
