Job summary

Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) is seeking a Physical Therapist for a per diem/part-time position in South Oxnard. The role offers flexible scheduling and an hourly rate of $50–$60 based on experience in outpatient orthopedic settings.

In this role you will assess patients, design and adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with a nationwide PRN team to deliver high-quality care while advancing your skills and earning growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• CPR certification and any other relevant certifications.
• Experience in orthopedic, neurological, or geriatric physical therapy preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine functional abilities, limitations, and goals.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and apply various therapies and modalities.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions to improve mobility and function.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about therapy procedures, home exercises, and injury prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals for comprehensive care.
• Maintain timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Stay updated on advancements in PT techniques and best practices.
• Delegate and use PTAs when applicable.

About The Role

As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and rehabilitation services to patients, helping them regain mobility, manage pain, and improve their quality of life. Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' functional abilities, limitations, and goals.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessments and goals, utilizing various therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Implement and administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions to improve patients' mobility, strength, flexibility, and function based on each individual patient’s need.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about therapy procedures, home exercises, and injury prevention techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy techniques, technologies, and best practices, integrating them into clinical practice as appropriate.
• Meet the needs of having patients execute Plan of Care and (but not limited) following up with patients if noncompliance occurs.
• Be a team player to utilize nonclinical staff to support needs of the caseload.
• Delegate and use a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) when applicable.
• Participate in helping to drive a collaborative culture based on our service vision.
• Adapt to change in patient schedules and daily patterns.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine therapy needs and establish treatment goals.

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• CPR certification and any other relevant certifications as required by state regulations
• Strong clinical skills with experience in orthopedic, neurological, or geriatric physical therapy (preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Proficient computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes
