Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomist duties according to established standards and procedures.
• Greets patient courteously and confirms patient identity before procedures.
• Collects appropriate specimens as indicated on the test request form.
• Properly identifies specimens at bedside with date, time, and initials.
• Notifies nursing staff of problems or concerns and any patient refusals.
• Centrifuges and processes specimens as needed.
• Performs other duties as requested.
