The position is within the Clinical Laboratory, with potential multi-site coverage. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and CA Phlebotomy I certification; medical office experience is preferred.

To properly identify patients prior to drawing capillary or venous blood. Collects blood efficiently and sends for analysis.
IF ASSIGNED TO A NON-ACUTE CARE FACILITY (e.g. URGENT CARE, ETC.) ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR: Under the direction of appropriately licensed personnel, may perform tests and procedures where assigned in the facility using protocols prescribed in procedure and instrument operations manuals (e.g. “waived” point-of-care-testing). Escorts patients to exam rooms. May take and record vital signs. Makes sure all paperwork is completed. Assists with patient flow. Accurately enters vital signs into patient management computer system. Enters appropriate information into medical record, adhering to medical record guidelines. Uses department computer systems to enter and obtain information/documentation. May be assigned to transport patients. Transports patients during the admission and discharge process using the appropriate mode as indicated based on the patient complaint or condition. Additional Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Knowledgeable of growth and development for all patient/family cultural, linguistic, spiritual, gender, and age specific needs. Able to effectively communicate and care for patient and family as reflected in the Plan for Provision of Care. Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay Range $22.04 -$33.06
