Job summary

UCI Health in California is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the supervision of a Pharmacist. You will conduct data entry and assist with purchasing and inventory control, contributing to department improvement projects.

Requirements include aseptic techniques, English communication, California Pharmacy Technician Registration or Pharmacy Intern Registration, and at least one year of full-time Pharmacy Technician experience; IV solution

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate proper aseptic techniques.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate.
• Minimum one year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience in IV solution processing.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, document, and label drug products under direct supervision of Pharmacist.
• Perform data entry and filing related to the process and assist with drug purchasing and inventory control procedures.
• Participate in Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects and collect workload data as needed.
