University Health Services at UC Berkeley is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician (9279C) to join an outpatient pharmacy team. You will assist pharmacists with entering and filling prescriptions, maintain inventory, and handle cashiering duties in a busy clinical setting.

Under general supervision of the Pharmacy Director, the Per Diem Pharmacy Technician performs a full range of duties in an outpatient/community retail pharmacy setting and is able to perform all general tasks expected of a pharmacy technician according to standards established by UC Berkeley’s University Health Services (UHS) Department of Pharmacy and the California State Board of Pharmacy.
The Per Diem Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacists in entering and filling prescription orders, record keeping and billing; maintaining inventory levels; and checking out prescriptions to UHS patients. Will perform assigned operational duties in a scheduled area and assist pharmacists in completing medication orders and related distribution duties. Demonstrate knowledge of pharmacy regulations for both California and the federal government. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills working with both patients and professionals required.
