Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Per Diem Float Pharmacy Technician to support our mental health pharmacy in Tucson, AZ. You will dispense prescriptions under a pharmacist's supervision and handle clerical tasks as needed.

Hours are per diem, covering PTO and callouts, with a typical schedule of 8:00am–5:00pm in the Tucson area. Valid AZ license or trainee status with 60 days to obtain is required.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in AZ or Trainee license or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinic staff.
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
  • Receives and processes wholesalers' medication orders.
  • Verifies medication stock and updates the inventory system.
  • Assist pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
  • Perform clerical duties related to the department.
  • Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.

We seek a Per DiemFloat PharmacyTechnicianto support allfunctionsof the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medicalprescriptions,andperformingnecessary clerical duties while under the direct supervisionof aRegisteredPharmacist.

Hours

Per Diem working on a need basis covering PTO, callouts and other business needs. Location hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Location

Home site is 1075 E Ft. Lowell Rd. Tucson, AZ and will also be responsible for covering PTO/callouts in the Tucson area.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona or an active Trainee Technician License in the state of Arizona or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license
