Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician in Fresno to support the mental health pharmacy. You will dispense prescriptions, under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, and handle clerical tasks as needed in a clinic setting.

Hours are per diem, with shifts 8:30am–5:00pm Mon–Thu and 8:30am–5:00pm Fri, at 2550 W Clinton Ave, Fresno, CA. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided where eligible.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in California.
• Access to reliable transportation with a valid US Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinics.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data to maintain inventory records.
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and maintain compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Performs clerical duties relating to the department.
• Communicates with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

We seek a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours: Per Diem working on a need basis covering PTO, callouts and other business needs. Location hours are 8-hour shifts, Monday through Thursdays between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm and Fridays between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
