Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Harrisburg is seeking a Pharmacist for per diem coverage to join our inpatient post-ICU care team. The role emphasizes drug distribution, IV admixture, and clinical support within a fast-paced hospital pharmacy.

The ideal candidate will hold current state licensure and, if required, BLS certification. Per diem status may lead to future opportunities, with orientation and ongoing education provided.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure required.
• Successful completion of all educational requirements for licensure.
• BLS if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on drugs to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
