Job summary

NYU Langone Health's Brooklyn campus in Sunset Park is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to join the inpatient care team.

The successful candidate will safely prepare, compound, and dispense medications in accordance with NYS Board of Pharmacy and hospital policy, including IV products and controlled substances, while collaborating with the pharmacy team.

This role covers satellite pharmacy duties and requires independent work within established policies to optimize drug therapy.

Responsibilities

• Safely preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications to patients.
• Optimize drug therapy by identification, resolution, and prevention of drug-related problems.
• Work independently within the limits of established pharmacy policies and procedures as a member of the inpatient care team.
• Directs and coordinates the activities of a pharmacy service area.
• Assignment will include covering satellite pharmacy preparing IV products, distributing controlled substances, providing drug information.
• All pharmacists will be knowledgeable on the safe medication practices.

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Per Diem Pharmacist – Brooklyn.

In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for safely preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications to patients in accordance with the laws and regulations governing pharmacists and the practice of pharmacy by the NYS Board of Pharmacy and NYU Langone Health- Brooklyn’s pharmacys policy and procedure.

Responsible for the optimization of drug therapy by identification, resolution, and prevention of drug related problems and improving therapeutic outcomes.
