Nuvem Rx Pharmacy Management Team in Monticello, KY is seeking a compassionate per-diem pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations and provide overlap with the pharmacy manager. Work Monday–Friday 8:30–5 with a lunch break; hours may change as needed.

As the per-diem pharmacist, you will supervise staff, engage with clinic providers, deliver medication education, and ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance in collaboration with the FQHC partner.

Qualifications

  • Licensed pharmacist with Kentucky licensure.
  • PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

  • Educate patients on medications and ensure safe, effective use.
  • Supervise staff pharmacists and technicians as applicable.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations: patient safety, QA, regulatory compliance, inventory, and workflows.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and stay current with fraud, waste and abuse rules.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws and facility policies.

Description

Nuvem Rx Pharmacy Management Team is looking for a compassionate, patient centric pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations by covering or providing overlap for the current pharmacy manager. Our goal is to make you feel empowered in the role that you play when managing the pharmacy and personnel in conjunction with the pharmacy manager. This position is for a per-diem pharmacist for the pharmacy located within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Monticello, KY. The hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-5 and closed 30 mins for lunch (hours may change as needed).

As a per-diem pharmacist for our pharmacies located within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), you will receive the benefit of a retail pharmacy type setting with a Monday thru Friday potential schedule. As the per-diem pharmacist, you will be responsible in managing our pharmacy relationship with our health center client. This includes engaging with clinic providers and their clinical staff, providing drug related education, and acting as a member of the patient care team.

In addition, you are responsible for facilitating a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and pride by leading, and directing your pharmacy staff to achieve specific goals.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provide support and education to patients on their medications.
  • Management of staff pharmacist and technicians, if applicable. Address knowledge gaps by increasing knowledge through education and training.

  • Ensure that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policies.

Requirements
Required Education & Licenses
  • Required licensing/credentialing/certification as established by federal and state regulations in the state in which you are practicing.
  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD in Pharmacy degree from an accredited university is required.
Preferred Experience And Skills
  • Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting, 340b knowledge is a bonus but not required.
  • 3 years related pharmacy experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional patient service skills.
