Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a compassionate pediatric nurse practitioner or physician assistant for per diem coverage on the Thomas Jefferson University Health campus in Philadelphia. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, family-centered primary care to children from birth through adolescence within a large teaching practice.

You will work with an experienced, multidisciplinary team and support the newborn nursery, while contributing to education and population health

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current national certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted Pennsylvania advanced practice nursing or physician assistant license.
• Pediatric primary care experience preferred; new graduates with strong pediatric clinical training may be considered.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to family-centered care and serving a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care including well-child visits, preventive screenings, immunizations, and management of acute/chronic conditions.
• Partner with patients and families to promote healthy development and lifelong wellness.
• Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and care team.
• Coordinate care with pediatric specialists, hospital teams, and community resources.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and staff to deliver a seamless patient experience.
• Provide coverage for the hospital newborn nursery and participate in teaching/education activities.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
