Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a casual/per diem Pediatric Hospitalist to join the Hospital Medicine division at Nemours Delaware. The role supports the Division of General Academic Pediatrics and provides inpatient care for children, with supervision of residents and medical students.

The team emphasizes teaching, scholarly activity, and collaboration within the Jefferson/Nemours network. Shift coverage includes nights as needed and potential 24/7 coverage in the future.

Qualifications

• Must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics and eligible for an unrestricted Delaware medical license.
• Board eligibility or board certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is preferred.
• Involvement in teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activities within an academic health system.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the attending hospitalist on the general inpatient teaching service.
• Supervise pediatric and family medicine residents and medical students.
• Attend non-teaching, co-management service for post-surgical and medically complex patients; participate in night coverage when in-house.
