Job summary

PeaceHealth is looking for a per diem Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team in Bellingham, WA. Responsibilities include in-house 24/7 coverage at St. Joseph Medical Center and care for the Pediatric Unit, Newborn Nursery, and Emergency Room support.

The ideal candidate will be Board Certified as a Pediatric MD/DO with at least 2 years of post-training hospital experience. Compensation includes an hourly rate of $132.71 and fully paid malpractice insurance.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Pediatric MD/DO.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-training experience that includes hospital work.

Responsibilities

• In-house 24/7 coverage for Whatcom County’s only community hospital.
• Care for the Pediatric Unit, Newborn Nursery, and Level II Special Care Nursery.
• Work within a collegial, supportive team focused on high-quality, evidence-based medicine.

PeaceHealth is looking for a per diem Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team in Bellingham, WA.

Scope of Care / Responsibilities

• In‑house 24/7 coverage for Whatcom County’s only community hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center (Level II Trauma)
• Care for the Pediatric Unit, Newborn Nursery, Level II Special Care Nursery, delivery attendance, and ER support
• Coverage will include 12‑hour day shifts, 12‑hour night shifts, 9‑hour day shifts, and additional daytime shifts as the program grows
• Work within a collegial, supportive team focused on high‑quality, evidence‑based medicine
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $132.71 per hour
• Fully paid malpractice insurance
