Arnot Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for per diem shifts at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. You will assist with quality patient care under a licensed nurse, help with daily activities, and support teamwork across departments.

The role requires a High School diploma, phlebotomy and glucometer experience, nursing aide training, and BLS within 90 days. Per diem schedule, rotating shifts, and a pay range of $18.11–$22.97 per hour apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy and glucometer experience or training required.
• Nursing aide training required.
• Previous experience or job knowledge required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Performs tasks per policy/procedures and directs by Charge Nurse.
• Performs and records specimen collection.
• Assists with post mortem care.
• Taken vitals including temperature, pulse, respirations and pulse oximetry.
• Assists with dressing changes per hospital standards.
• Reports changes in patient condition to RN Charge Nurse or Nursing Supervisor.
• Supports nutrition by assisting with meals and feeding.
• Assists in care of patients in isolation.
• Operates equipment safely after in-service training.
