St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ on-site is seeking a Patient Care Associate/Technician to support acutely ill patients and assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision.

The role emphasizes maintaining a safe, clean environment, performing EKGs and venipuncture as directed, and meeting basic caregiving qualifications including a high school diploma and BLS.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of healthcare experience within the last 6 months.
• Enrolled in nursing school program with Nursing Fundamentals level 1 or equivalent.
• Evidence of completion in Nursing Fundamentals coursework or Nursing Assistant training.
• PCA/PCT, Home Health Aide or CMA experience.
• Certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS) through the American Heart Association.
