Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• New York State Paramedic certification required.
• AHA BLS CPR required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Valid NYS driver's license, class D or higher.
• Completion of FEMA IS courses IS-5.a, IS-100.c, IS-200.c, IS-700.b, IS-800.d.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, provide ALS and advanced life support.
• Assess patients, administer care under medical direction, and transport as needed.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, teammates, and receiving facilities; ensure documentation and readiness of ambulance/equipment.
• Pursue ongoing education and contribute to quality improvement and team wellbeing.
