Per-Diem Paramedic - Event Medical Lead

Job summary

AMR is urgently hiring Paramedics for per-diem opportunities to provide compassionate, high-quality emergency medical care. You will assess calls, apply advanced medical skills with defibrillators, monitors, and IV therapy, and lead scenes as needed while driving ambulances on 911 responses.

You will work with public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics, and engage in community programs to strengthen AMR’s presence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a State Paramedic License and a valid Driver’s License.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications.
• Pass Physical Agility Test; prior healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action using progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids) for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to support AMR image and community relations.
