Qualifications

Experience

Minimum of two years of pre-hospital advanced life support experience or equivalent experience.

Education

• High school graduate.
• Successful completion of an approved EMT-Paramedic program or its equivalent.
• Successful completion of an approved CCEMT-P Program or Critical Care Nursing Program.

Licensures/Certifications

• Satisfactory completion of practical and written examinations administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
• Current Pennsylvania certification as an EMT-Paramedic or Pre-Hospital Nurse.
• Current driver’s license valid in Pennsylvania with copy on file.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications with copies on file.
• Hazmat Awareness, and EVOC/EMSVO all are required.
• Other certifications are encouraged, such as: NREMT-P, PHTLS, BTLS, PALS, NALS, Firefighting 1 or equivalent.
