Job summary

Care New England is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapy Assistant to support behavioral health and specialty populations. The role reports to an OT supervisor and requires strong communication, teamwork, and flexibility to adapt to patient needs.

Under supervision, you will document evaluations and interventions, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow AOTA standards and hospital policies. A state license and a collaborative approach are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Experience in Behavioral Health or with a specific age population (geriatrics, pediatrics).
• Maintains current state license; excellent communication skills; collaborative mindset; creative and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ethical practice in accordance with AOTA standards.
• Adheres to HIPAA regulations and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Under supervision of OT, utilizes Evidence Based Practice to inform clinical decisions.
• Adheres to and applies concepts from the OT Practice Frameworks.
• Demonstrates knowledge of OT Theory.
• Follows all hospital policies and procedures.
• Ongoing documentation of evaluations and interventions per policy.
• Maintains collaborative relationships with OT supervisor and treatment team.
