Job summary

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, in affiliation with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, is seeking an experienced per diem Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join a growing team in Queens, NY. The role focuses on orthognathic growth and pioneering bone regeneration and implantology services.

Responsibilities include supervising OMFS residents in clinic and sedation settings, with guidance in decision-making and surgical technique. Some OR privileges available but not required.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree required.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number.
• Strong clinical abilities and surgical skills in outpatient, inpatient and sedation settings.
• Teaching/mentoring Residents experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor OMFS residents in clinic and sedation settings.
• Provide guidance in clinical decision-making, patient management and surgical technique.
• Operate when privileges are available, though not required to cover OR duties.
