Job summary

Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center in Southern California is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse to join the perioperative team on a per diem basis. The RN will provide direct and indirect patient care, coordinate with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and support the OR team in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Responsibilities include implementing care plans, maintaining standards, and participating in performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certificate required.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate required within 30 days of hire.
• PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff RN is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting.
• Coordinate care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist and guide OR technicians.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Work with other departments to ensure continuity of care and efficient operation.
