Job summary

VHC Health is seeking an OR Assistant (Per-Diem) to manage materials, equipment, instruments and supplies for the Operating Room. The role includes maintaining par levels, operating sterilization equipment, and preparing case carts to support efficient surgical workflows.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification; under a year of OR materials experience is preferred, with opportunities to participate in staff training and in-service programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Up to 1 year of materials management or OR support experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in OR materials, equipment, instruments and supplies.
• Prepare case carts and operate sterilization equipment as necessary.
• Maintain par levels and knowledge of the OR Perpetual inventory.
• Support room turnovers and other clinical duties as requested.
• Participate in staff training and in-service programs.
