Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse - Operating Room in West Palm Beach. The role requires 2 years of OR experience and offers a $60/hour rate.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and uphold NYU Langone’s patient-care standards. Responsibilities include clinical practice guideline adherence, staff mentoring, regulatory compliance, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse in New York.
• Education: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required; fluent written and spoken English.
• Fluent written and spoken English language skills. Incoming RN must be eligible for licensure in NY.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to patient care and nursing standards in care delivery; uses clinical practice guidelines.
• Engages in self-assessment and peer review; supports professional development.
• Serves as a preceptor for nursing staff and students.
• Complies with annual education and regulatory requirements, including learning transcripts.
• Organizes staff assignments and differentiates activities within nursing scope.
• Complies with NYS Nurse Practice Act and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitors unit throughput and quality metrics; participates in improvement initiatives.
• Directs coordination of patient care in a safe, timely manner; escalates as needed.
• Evaluates patient progress; involves patient/family and team; documents outcomes.
• Educates patient/family about health status and care plan; documents learning outcomes.
