Job summary

Fort Washington Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Rehabilitation Department. You will evaluate patients, plan and supervise therapy, and coordinate discharge with the care team.

The role emphasizes patient education, documentation, and interprofessional collaboration. Per diem position with shifts, weekend coverage, and a fixed rate of $60/hr; Maryland license and CPR required, lymphedema credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Maryland License and AHA CPR certification.
• CLT certification for lymphedema therapists preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial examination and evaluation to establish diagnosis and plan of care.
• Provide, or supervise, therapy interventions and reexamine progress as needed.
• Plan discharge with goals and follow-up as appropriate.
• Document management and coordinate care with the team.
• Manage caseload and participate in team meetings.
