Job summary

NorthShore Rehabilitation Hospital in Lacombe, LA, part of a joint venture with Select Medical, is hiring an Occupational Therapist for per diem weekday coverage with some weekends. Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction.
• Directs and delegates therapy services to discipline staff, designing functional programs for community reintegration.
• Educates patients, families, students, coworkers and self on therapy processes.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care and program delivery.
