Job summary

Swedish Medical Group in Issaquah, Washington is seeking a Per Diem Obstetrics Hospitalist to join our hospitalist team. The OB-GYN Hospitalist will evaluate and treat patients in a 6-bed OBED, assist in surgeries, and provide primary OB-GYN coverage for unassigned patients.

This role includes ED coverage, backup for the midwifery group, accepting transfers, and caring for unassigned gynecology patients requiring admission or surgery.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for obstetrics and gynecology patients in acute care settings.
• Comfort performing urgent and emergent OB and gynecology surgeries.
• Ability to provide coverage for unassigned patients and ED shifts.

Responsibilities

Swedish is seeking a Per Diem Obstetrics Hospitalist to join the team in Issaquah, Washington.

The OB-GYN Hospitalist's primary responsibilities will include evaluation and treatment of patients in a 6-bed OBED, surgical assist, primary OB-GYN coverage for unassigned patients, providing backup for midwifery group, accepting out of hospital transfers, ED coverage, emergency gyn surgeries, care of unassigned gynecology patients requiring admission and/or surgery. Must be comfortable seeing both obstetrics and gynecology patients and demonstrate a strong level of experience. Must be comfortable performing urgent and emergent OB and gynecology surgeries.

• Per Diem
• Hospitalist team consists of 4.4 FTEs, including a Medical Director, and 4 Per Diem physicians
• Private, on-site call room dedicated to the Hospitalist
• Compensation is $209 per hour
• Compensation is depending on shift and coverage

The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.
