Temple Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist I to join the Microbiology department on a per diem basis. The role involves performing a wide range of laboratory procedures using manual and automated methods, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Life Sciences with CLIA-lab experience, and has MT(ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Life Sciences with 26 science credits and CLIA lab experience.
• 1 year of experience in relevant laboratory section preferred.
• MT(ASCP) certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of laboratory procedures using both manual and automated methods.
• Exhibits a considerable degree of independent judgment regarding performance and reporting of results.
• Participates actively in quality improvement activities of the laboratory.
