Job summary

River Park Hospital is currently seeking Per Diem Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) in Huntington, WV. The roles focus on providing compassionate, patient-centered care within our behavioral health services, including inpatient and residential settings.

Ideal candidates will have at least six months of mental health experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent. These per diem positions offer flexible scheduling to support our 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Six months experience in a mental health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum
• Assure and improve quality care by facilitating the patient and family’s right to receive safe, quality, and cost-effective care
• Maintain and protect confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and information
• Demonstrate a commitment to meeting the learning needs of patients by utilizing appropriate resources to meet those needs and achieve positive patient outcomes
• Conduct patient rounds related to routine and heightened observation status
• Interact in a therapeutic manner to decrease crisis within the patient care setting
• Demonstrate respect and understanding for patients, peers and other clinical disciplines and participates as an effective member of the patient care team
