Job summary

Midwest Center for Youth and Families is seeking a Mental Health Technician for a full-time role in Indiana. The position supports a Dialectical Behavior Therapy program for youth ages 10-18, with shifts including Sundays-Thursdays or Tuesdays-Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• One year of experience working in a psychiatric setting with patients aged 10-18yrs preferred
• College student who has obtained or are pursuing their degree in behavioral health, psychology, nursing or human services are preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
• Implement elements of treatment plan and identified interventions to provide quality care
• Document and communicate client behaviors
• Follow clinical and unit programming
• Assist with patient groups and activities
• Provide DBT skills coaching with patients
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques

Education
