Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses to join our Per Diem team throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. This role offers per diem shifts with competitive pay and the option for same-day or next-day pay.

The position requires an active LPN license, at least 1 year of facility-based nursing experience, and current BLS/CPR. PPD within the last year is also requested. Local applicants preferred with access to flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license is required.
• Minimum 1 year of facility-based nursing experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• PPD (tuberculosis) within the last year.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within LPN scope of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Collect and document patient information.
• Provide wound care and patient education.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Coordinate care with nurses, physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Perform additional LPN duties based on facility needs.
