Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses to join our Per Diem team across Hampton Roads. The role focuses on nursing care within the LPN scope, medication administration, patient assessments and coordinating with the care team.

Local applicants only. Active LPN license, at least 1 year of facility-based experience, current BLS/CPR and recent PPD clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of facility-based nursing experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification and recent PPD clearance.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Collect and document patient information.
• Provide wound care and patient education.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Coordinate care with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
• Perform additional LPN duties based on facility needs.
