Chapters Health System is seeking a Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing interventions and teaching under RN supervision, with a focus on patient comfort and quality of life for patients and families.
The role requires an active LPN license in the state of employment, a high school diploma or GED, IV certification by hire, and BLS for healthcare professionals. Flexibility and English communication skills are essential to meet patient needs.
Under RN supervision, the Per Diem - LPN is responsible for providing nursing interventions and teaching skills to maximize patient comfort and to enhance the quality of life to the patient/family unit.
A high school diploma or G.E.D. or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Current LPN licensure in the state of employment
IV certification required at time of hire beginning November 10, 2024. Employees in this job prior to November 10, 2024 will be required to obtain certification by June 10, 2025.
Active BLS for healthcare professionals from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
For current Hope Employees: BLS should be obtained by January 1, 2025
For current Capital Caring employees: BLS should be obtained by November 1, 2024
Mobile Driver - Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance per Company policy Reliable transportation to meet visit schedule
If working in an inpatient unit certificate of completion of 30 hour Infusion Therapy Course and in-house 8-hour Infusion Class preferred
Ability to communicate (written and verbal) in English
Flexible schedule to meet the needs of patients
Ability to use equipment with visual and auditory mechanisms
Ability to manage the emotional stress of working with and caring for terminally ill patients and their families
Ability to perform the essential functions and physical requirements (including, but not limited to: lifting patients and/or equipment, bending, pushing/pulling, kneeling) of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Can work within their scope or practice per state regulations
Satisfactorily complete competency requirements for this position.
Pay Rate: $30.00
