Job summary

Ro Health is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to work with students in San Jose, CA for the 25-26 school year. This in-person role offers a day-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with competitive pay and opportunities for professional development.

You will manage care for students with chronic conditions, coordinate with families and school staff, maintain health records, and participate in emergency response planning.

Qualifications

• CA state licensing required for California school nursing.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Negative TB test within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of students with chronic health conditions by coordinating with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents.
• Monitor and manage immunization records to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's health status and follow-up care.

Overview

• In-person

• Monday-Friday (Day Shifts, No Weekends)
• $34-$37/Hour

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes) by coordinating with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents.
• Monitor and manage immunization records to ensure compliance with state regulations
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's health status, concerns, and recommended follow-up care
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
• Potential need to frequently bend, crouch, and lift (up to 40 pounds)
